Donis Lou DeLee

Donis Lou DeLee, age 78, of Baton Rouge, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025. She was born May 13, 1947. She is the oldest daughter of the late Willie Lauren and Louise McCoy DeLee. ‍

Donis is survived by her daughter, Amy Leigh Tate; son, Ian Tate (Jennifer); four grandchildren, Collin Chubb, Travis Sagusti, Layne Sagusti, Colston Tate; great-granddaughter, Sophia Chubb; sisters, Anna DeLee (Ed) Swinderman, Patricia DeLee (Harold) Birkett, and Sara Lisa DeLee (Rob) Westfall.

Donis was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church of Baton Rouge. She was a retired Registered Nurse from Inova Fairfax Hospital in Virginia. Donis earned a B.S. from Northwestern State University in Louisiana. She enjoyed growing orchids, traveling, and her pets.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, beginning at 9:30 a.m., followed by a heartfelt service at 10:30 a.m., officiated by Father Randall Toms, Ph. D. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
