Doris Easterly

A retired practical nurse and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009, in St. Francisville. She was 88 and a native of Chenal. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Friday, March 6, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 p.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Dale Phillips. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her daughter, Allaine Wilson, Lafayette; stepdaughter, Joan Abraham, Slaughter; three sons, Glenn O. Easterly and wife Dee, Watson, John B. J.B. Easterly and wife Linda, Denham Springs, and Pete S. Easterly and wife Sheila, St. Francisville; sister, Velma Barthel; 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Allan Joseph St. P and John B. Easterly Jr.; parents, Pierre and Edna Samson; stepdaughter, Carolyn S. Foret; and sister, Frances S. Abrams.
