Dorothy Adams

On September 20, 2022, Dorothy Ann Doran Adams, a resident of Richmond, Texas, passed away peacefully at age 90 after a brief illness.

Dorothy was born on April 28, 1932 in New Orleans, Louisiana to John F. and Loretta Stakelum Doran. She graduated from Istrouma High School and briefly attended Louisiana State University. In September 1957, she married the love of her life, Caleb Lee (Sonny) Adams Jr., who preceded her in death in 2002.

Dorothy was an exceptional wife and mother. She treasured her five children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as grandmother and granny.

She is the loving and devoted mother of Karen Pace and husband John of Spring, TX, Susan Roberts and husband Brad of Sugarland, TX, Steve Adams and wife Michele of Houston, TX, Sandy Clark and husband Mark of Houston, TX and Kevin Adams of Wimberley, TX.

Dorothy is the adored grandmother who will forever live in the hearts of her grandchildren Chris Adams and wife Diana, Michael Pace, Allison Pace, Bryce Roberts, Emily Clark, Derek Adams, Luke Adams, Lauren Clark and Reese Adams and four great-grandsons, Taylor, Brayden, Christian and Rory Adams.

Dorothy is also survived by her beloved sister Dolores Collier of Baton Rouge, LA and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Monique Yamin Adams.
