Dorothy Beachum
March 7, 1928 — December 26, 2009
A beloved wife, mother and grandmother, she departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009. She was 81, a native of Hathaway and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. Visitation at The Rock Church, 20810 Plank Road, Zachary, on Wednesday, Dec. 30, from 9:30 a.m. until a memorial service at 10:30 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Rocky Bezet. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Remaining to cherish her memory and celebrate her life are her husband of 62 years, James R. Beachum; son and his wife, Bob and Ellen Beachum; and two grandchildren, Steven and Lisa Beachum; all of Baton Rouge. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She was blessed with a wonderful sense of humor and a kind and caring heart. She touched the hearts of all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
