Dorothy Perez

A retired bookkeeper with Ruth 's Chris Steak House and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at Sherwood Manor. She was 84 and a native of New Orleans. Private inurnment will be held at Lake Lawn Cemetery, New Orleans. She is survived by a sister, Martha M. Monrose and husband M.J.; two brothers, Larry McVay, and G.W. McVay and wife Candi; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Cullen H. and Essie B. McVay; brother, Thomas McVay; and sister-in-law, Genevieve McVay.
