Dwight Allen Jackson, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at the age of 75. A resident of Baton Rouge, he was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on October 9, 1948. The retired owner of Mid-South Reproductive Services and an accomplished embryologist, he was previously selected Outstanding Cattleman in the United States. He loved vegetable gardening as much as he loved sharing his abundant harvest with neighbors and friends. He was an avid elk hunter. A true sportsman, he hunted with rifle, bow, and black powder.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Suzanne Valenti Jackson; daughter and spouse, Jill and Christopher Congemi; grandchildren, Jackson and Cullen Congemi; brothers, Bobby, Jackie, Irvin, Billy, and Greg Jackson; and sister, Becky Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Joyce Jackson.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. until Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
