Ed Russell

Edward R. Russell age 91 passed away on February 15, 2022.

He was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, La.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp, and did a tour in the Korean War.

He was a retired Marine Surveyor with Kaiser Aluminum with over 40 years of service.

Ed is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years Rita Bonura Russell, whom he loved traveling with and his son Donald Russell and wife Karen Calamia Russell along with their children Lauren and Todd Ladner, Sam Russell and his great grandson Lincoln Todd Ladner.

He is proceeded in death by his daughter Lisa Diane Russell, his parents E.M. Russell and Mamie Shaffet Russell and 10 siblings.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Sunday February 20th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church on Monday February 21st, with visitation from 9:00 -to time of mass at 10:00 a.m. followed by a burial at Resthaven.

Pallbearers will be Samuel Russell, Keith Russell, Darrell Russell, Todd Ladner, Rob Klemm and Bruce Holden.

A special thanks to his private caregivers Sharman, Toni and Brenda for their loving care.
