Ella Mae Guilliams

March 15, 1927 — August 31, 2021

Ella Mae Boudreaux Guilliams, 94, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2021.

Ella is now reunited in Heaven with her husband, Jerrald Guilliams.  She and Jerrald were an amazing team.  They founded their business, Service Glass Works in 1967 in Baton Rouge and they worked together until they retired in 1994.  When not working you would likely find them at their Cypremont Point camp enjoying life, sipping on drinks and trolling for shrimp in Vermillion Bay.  They also enjoyed traveling, going to the casinos and being with family.  Ella was known to her family as MeeMaw.  She would whip up a pot of seafood gumbo, fried shrimp and fish, or chicken and dumplings for any guest that came to visit.  Ella was a true Cajun and French was her native language.

Ella is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Sandra Bell Scott (William) and Leighann Guilliams Fabre (Brian), and her son and his wife Douglas Guilliams (Tammy); Grandchildren and their spouses, Keith Lemoine (Kathy), Jeffery Imler (Amanda), Charlene Guilliams (fiance’ Daniel Morrison), Ethan Brignac, and Brandon Guilliams, Great-granddaughter Baylie Imler, and sister Verlie Granger.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Jerrald Guilliams, her parents Hubertie and Amanda Boudreaux, and siblings Percy Boudreaux and his wife Hazel, Justin Boudreaux, and Syble Boudreaux.

A grave side service will be held at Resthaven Gardens on September 4, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Mausoleum (backside).

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the following facilities and their healthcare workers for their compassionate care: Azalea Estates of Gonzales, MedPASS Staffing, Inc., Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge and The Crossing at Clarity Hospice.
