Elva "Bae" Bosco Buuck was called to her eternal resting place peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Fidelis Home Care in Baton Rouge. Elva is now reunited after 39 years with her husband, Louis Owens Buuck who passed July 22, 1984. Just shy of 91 years of age, Elva was born in New Orleans, LA to the late Joseph F. Bosco and Carlotta Cousin Bosco in 1932. A native of New Orleans, she graduated from Holy Angels Academy. She is preceded in death by her 5 siblings; Gilbert Bosco, Isabelle Ruiz, Yvonne Wuest, Cyril Jones & Lawrence Bosco.
Elva is survived by her sister Amelita Bosco LeBlanc; five children - Louis Buuck (Donna), Kerry Buuck (Vina), Kevin Buuck (Yolanda), Karl Buuck and Brenda Buuck Goff. She had 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends she considered part of her family.
Elva devoted her time and life to her family. She had many talents such as an exceptional cook, playing piano, sewing, re-upholstering furniture, oil paintings, bowling league, senior volleyball league, senior olympic horseshoes participant, dancing & loved working in her yard. She did a lot of volunteer work, along with being an Insurance Agent and Real Estate Agent. She was an active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
The Buuck family appreciates ALL the special attention Bae received from Lake Sherwood Village Retirement Home and Fidelis Home Care.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Lou Buuck, Matt Buuck, Christopher Buuck, Stephen Buuck, Jeremy Buuck, Myles Buuck, Logan Buuck & Garrett Buuck.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral services at 11:00 a.m., and a graveside service immediately following at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70816.
Family and friends are invited to a "Celebration of Bae's Life" Reception at the home of Jeremy and Nicole Buuck.
