Ethel Hudson

February 27, 1932 — June 18, 2021

Ethel Lorraine Hudson was born February 27, 1932 and gained her angel wings on June 18, 2021 in the comfort of her home.  She was a native of Baton Rouge, LA.  She graduated from Redemptorist High School and married her high school sweetheart.  They were married at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church.  She was the owner of “Lorraine’s” Beauty Shop and later changed careers to the florist business.   She owned “Buds and Bows” Florist in Baton Rouge, LA.   She was an active member of St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church. She loved being around her family and friends.  Some of her hobbies were gardening, dancing, and traveling.  She enjoyed being a member of a weekly Booray club for forty-two years.  She was an avid LSU football fan and attended games for over fifty-four years. She is survived by her husband, Clay Hudson and two sons Gary and Steve Hudson, six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.  She was proceeded in death by her parents and her son Darryl Hudson.  The funeral service will be held at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church on Friday, June 25, 2021 from 10:00 – 12:00 PM (visitation) and 12:00 PM for a Christian Burial Mass.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.  A special thanks to Bridgeway Hospice for the wonderful care they gave.  In leu of flowers, please make donations to your charity of choice or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
