Eugene Porter

Eugene A. Porter, born July 31, 1926 went to be with our Heavenly Father on May 30, 2018 surrounded by his family. Eugene was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. A faithful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ, he served in his church library, taught Sunday school, and set a wonderful example of being a Christian. He served his country in the United States Navy on the USS Hollandia during WWII. He is survived by his loving wife, Milda Porter; 2 daughters, Christine Porter Morris, and Alison Porter; Daughter in law, Marian Porter; 4 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Perry Porter; and grandson, Andrew Morris. Visitation will be held at Zoar Baptist Church on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 9-11 followed by funeral service at 11. Interment will follow funeral services at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
