Frances Diamond Allen

Frances Marie Diamond Allen, age 74, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Monday the 6 of March 2023,

Ms. Frances was a simple, sweet, God Loving Soul with deep, abiding faith, who would always be kind to anyone she met. She was the oldest of 3 sisters and loved spending time with her family and in church. She loved her children, stepchildren and grandchildren and enjoyed dancing more than anything. She attended Redemptorist Catholic School. She was married young to her first husband Freddy Cummings, whom she had 2 Children with. Ms. Frances later married George Allen and lived 30 happy years by his side until his passing. Before becoming a homemaker, she was occupied as a Bank Teller.

Frances is survived by her son, Todd Cummings and his wife Sandra; her daughter Dana Cummings; her sister Mary Stockwell; her stepchildren Andy, Angie, Kim and Karen; her grandchildren Myerkal, Tristin, Elena, Evan and Eli, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frances and Jack Diamond; her sister Dorothea “Dottie” Diamond; and her husband George Allen.

Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on March 16, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until services at 6:00 p.m.

The family of Frances Diamond Allen wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Harvest Manor & Golden Age Nursing Homes where Ms. Frances resided for the last couple years of her life while her health steadily declined.
