A retired architect and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 11:45 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009. He was 87, a native of Delhi and a veteran of World War II. Memorial service at St. Joseph Cathedral at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 3. Survived by three daughters, Melanie R. Brocato, Maria E. Brocato and Kathryn A. Simoneaux and husband Darby; four sons, Frank N. Brocato Jr., Samuel J. Brocato and wife Holly, Marcus P. Brocato and wife Rachel, and Matthew E. Brocato; 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Adeline Pace Brocato; parents, Samuel John and Rosa Josephine Culotta Brocato; a brother, Joseph Myron Brocato; and a grandson, Daniel Scott Brocato.
