Gay Thompson

Gay Nell Thompson, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away Friday March 29, 2024 at the age of 63. She was born in Baton Rouge on December 13, 1960, daughter of the late Alton and Nell Bickhan Thompson.

Gay was a person cherished for her loyalty, generosity, and her deep love for animals. An artist at heart, she had a unique talent for creating unbelievably beautiful wreaths, reflecting her creative spirit.
 
In addition to her creative pursuits, Gay was known for her wicked sense of humor and her distinctive perspective on life that endeared her to many. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, always remembered as a one-of-a-kind individual.

Gay is preceded in death by her parents, Alton Thompson and Nell Bickham Thompson, and her brother Joel Thompson.
 
Gay is survived by her sister Rosemary Glidden, her brother-in-law Matthew Glidden, and her niece Grace Nell Glidden.

The family invites all who knew and loved Gay to attend a Celebration of Life at Resthaven Funeral Home on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Visitation will commence at 2:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 2:30 pm. A graveside ceremony will take place thereafter. A reception at Resthaven will follow the graveside ceremony, providing an opportunity for loved ones to come together to honor and remember Gay's life.
 
Gay's creativity, humor, and compassion will forever be cherished by those whose lives she touched.
