Geraldine "Jerry" Levy

Geraldine “Jerry” Monceret Levy passed away at The Carpenter House on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at the age of 87.  She was born on January 3, 1934 to Emelia and Leon Monceret, Sr. of New Roads, LA.  Her fondest memories were growing up in New Roads.  She enjoyed spending time with friends and a large extended family.  Later in life she spent many years gardening, which she loved.  She also dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She was a dedicated member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Levy; her parents; her sisters, Gracie Broussard and Garnet Alsbrook; and her brothers, Leon Monceret Jr., Herman Monceret, and Joseph “Boobie” Monceret.

She is survived by her five children, Donna Ramirez, Michael Ramirez and Spouse Patty, David Ramirez and partner Craig Brock, Gary Ramirez and Spouse Carol, and John Ramirez; 5 grandchildren, Ryan Ramirez, Ross Ramirez and Spouse Kathleen, Emma Ramirez, Abby Ramirez, and Isabella Ramirez; great-granddaughter, Madeline Scott Ramirez; also a step-son Lance Blair; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am.  Entombment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
