Gertie Broussard Courville, age 90, a resident of Maringouin, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Lacour House Assisted Living and Memory Care in New Roads, Louisiana.

Gertie was born and raised in Gueydon, LA where she went to school and later married Allen J Courville at St Peter Catholic Church and school. They made their home and started their family in Jennings, LA. Several years after Allen passed away, Gertie married Dempsey Fusilier of Eunice and had 10 happy years together living in the country during the week tending to their big garden, and Cajun dancing on the weekends. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and looked forward to having family gatherings at her home in Maringouin. Gertie was loved by all who met her and will be dearly missed by her family.
