A resident and native of Baton Rouge, he died at 12:01 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at Heritage Manor. He was 60 and probably one of Elvis Presley's greatest fans. A graveside service will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory on Monday, Feb. 9, at 11 a.m. Survived by a brother, Loftin Sproles and wife Sharon; nephews, Jason Sproles and Rylan Sproles and wife Jenny; a niece, Catherine Sproles; and great-niece, Eva Sproles. Preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Catherine Sproles. Memorial donations may be made to The ARC, 8326 Kelwood Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70806.
