Hazel Motte

October 26, 1924 — December 19, 2018

Hazel Sipps Motte, a resident of Zachary, LA, passed away on Dec 19th 2018 at the age of 94. She graduated from Baker High School and retired as a school bus driver for the East Baton Rouge School Board. She was active in Galilee Baptist Chruch and lived at Oakwood Assisted Living for the past 15 years where she was a highly appreciated resident who led and participated in many activities.

Hazel is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Motte of Stockholm, Sweden; her 3 grandchildren, Greg Noland of Elyria, OH, Elizabeth Miscar Powell of Watson, LA, Jennifer Noland Lundberg of Stockholm, Sweden; and five great grandchildren.

Hazel is preceded in death by her husband James R. Motte; her daughter, Carolyn Motte Miscar; her mother, father, and three sisters.

Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70816, on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 2:00 pm until funeral services at 2:30 pm. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
