Helen Wiltz

Helen Sullivan Hargis-Wiltz, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on January 8, 2019, at the age of 95.

Helen is survived by her 2nd husband, Railler Wiltz; her 4 daughters, Joyce Perry and husband Bill, Jo Ellen Frederick and husband Jim, Kathy Schaffhauser and husband Jim, Judy Walker and husband Tony; her daughter-in-law, Sue Wright Hargis; her sister, Emma Lee Sullivan Rome; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and 7 step-children.

She is preceded in death by her 1st husband of 56 years, Joseph A. Hargis; her son, Darryl Hargis; her parents, John Harry and Margaret Remahl Sullivan; and her brother, William P. Sullivan.

Helen was a member of St. John’s UMC and former member of Istrouma UMC and Evangeline UMC. She was also a member of Fairfields O.E.S #211.

Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA, on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue at St. John’s UMC, 230 Renee Dr., Baton Rouge, LA, on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 10:00 am until funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
