Hennessy Goudeau

September 3, 1931 — July 9, 2021

Hennessy Joseph Goudeau, Jr. passed away at Ochsner on Friday, July 9, 2021, at the age of 89.

Hennessy worked as a Baton Rouge Police Officer for 28 ½ years.  He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #1, American Legion Nicholson Post #38.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Eladia Goudeau; children, Sylvia Goudeau Dunlap (Barry), David Goudeau (Nannette Dee), Barbara Goudeau Langlois (Michael), and Russell Goudeau; grandchildren, Joshua, Rachel, Brandon Thomas, Brandon Michael, Grace Abigail, Alicia, Shannon, Telia, Curtis, and Kiera; great-grandchildren, Addison, Alex Kate, Baylee, Rebekah, Hayden, Mila Rose, and Emerald; and nephew, John Goudeau, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hennessy, Sr., and Rosalie Goudeau; brother, John Goudeau, Sr.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
