“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8) Henry Don Locklar entered into the presence of the Lord on May 10, 2025, at the age of 86. Henry was born on July 27, 1938, in New Brockton, Alabama to Donald and Ruth Locklar. He was married to the love of his life, Jane Mckeever Locklar for 58 years. They shared three children together, Brian, Kelly, and Kirk.
Henry was a graduate of Kenner High School and Louisiana State University, where he earned a degree in electrical engineering. He retired from DEMCO after serving as Chief Executive Officer for many years. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Navy and a member of St. George Catholic Church.
Henry’s greatest accomplishment was his family. He was kind, full of love, and extremely hard working. He was the absolute best son, husband, dad, brother, and grandfather. He was also a mentor and friend to all those he worked with during his over 30 year career at DEMCO. We were all so blessed.
Henry is survived by his wife, Jane Locklar; their children, Brian Locklar (Stephanie), Kelly Hufft, and Kirk Locklar; grandchildren, Peyton Locklar, Ian Locklar, Gracie Hufft, Eliza Hufft, and Rawls Hufft. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Norma Nettles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Donald Locklar; brother, Tex Locklar; and son in law, Christopher Hufft. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. George Catholic Church, located at 7807 St, George Dr., Baton Rouge, LA 70809. Burial will follow at St. George Catholic Church Cemetery.
