Henry Hamilton Wallace passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025. He was 89. Henry was born on February 23, 1936 in Stockdale, Texas and moved to Louisiana as a child. He attended Louisiana Tech University and then entered the United States Coast Guard where he was stationed in Brownsville, Texas. He married Patricia Roshto and after his honorable discharge from the service, they moved to Houston, Texas and eventually returned home to Baton Rouge where he worked as a building inspector for the City Parish. He later became a Construction Superintendent and spent the majority of his working years at Jim Best Construction and Ellis Electric. He was a longtime member and deacon at Parkview Baptist Church where he served faithfully with humility and integrity.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Pat Roshto Wallace; daughter, Wendy Wallace TerHaar and her husband, Brian; and grandchildren Abigail Kathryn TerHaar and Jack Shaffer TerHaar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Hamilton Wallace and Della Shaffer Wallace; sister, Alma Wallace Fluker; brother, Charles Raymond Wallace and sister-in-law, Nona Day Wallace.

Henry loved to work with his hands and for years he volunteered with the “Tuesday Crew” at Judson Baptist Retreat Center. He was a quiet man who loved the Lord and his family. He was humble, patient, and tender-hearted.

Visitation will be at Parkview Baptist Church on Monday, September 8 from 9:00AM until the funeral service at 11AM. A private burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
