Herbert Strickland

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Herbert “Warren” Strickland, age 84, a resident of Walker, LA, on August 26, 2022.

Warren, as he was known by his family and friends, was born and raised in Baton Rouge and attended Baton Rouge High. He retired after more than 30 years of operating his own fiberglass repair shop where he namely repaired boats. Warren was married to his wife Barbara Comeaux Strickland for just over 65 years. He loved the outdoors, fishing and visiting with family and friends.

Warren is survived by his wife Barbara; children: Sindee Casanova and Husband Charlie, Danell Spillman, Les Strickland, Danny Strickland and wife Vicki and Twilia Andrews; grandchildren: Blake Andrews, Hope Andrews and Kinley Strickland; great grandchild: Corbin Andrews.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents Milton “Red” Strickland and Daisy Cannon Strickland as well as his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Earl and Irma Comeaux.

Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Thursday September 1, 2022, beginning at 12:30 followed by memorial services at 2:30.  Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.
