Hubert "Buck" Francis Tucker, Jr.

Hubert “Buck” Francis Tucker Jr. passed away at the age of 87, on Sunday, September 13, 2026, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Buck grew up fishing and hunting. He spent 40 years at Copolymer Rubber and Chemical, working as a lab technician. He later on grew to love metal detecting and Louisiana history. He was a man of few words, but he will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and love for his family. He was an amazing father, grandfather, and great-grand father. He will be deeply missed.

Buck is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Janie Tucker; children, Jeffrey Tucker (Pamela), Jackie Allain (Mark), and Judi Smith; grandchildren, Emilie Eddins (Corey), Marilyn Tucker, Rebekah Tucker, and Thomas Tucker; and multiple great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert F. Tucker, Sr. and Mabel Firmin Tucker; and his sister, Catherine Tucker Smith.

The family would like to give special thanks to Clarity Hospice for their care and support.

A private family ceremony will be held at Resthaven.
