Hudson Hargroder

Our precious Hudson lost his brave battle with heart failure on January 2, 2022. He was born June 21, 2021. During his six short months with us, he enjoyed being entertained by his big sister, Laurel, being snuggled by his mommy, taking rides outside with his daddy, and snuggling with his stuffed alligator. His blue eyes, expressive eyebrows, and sweet smile are eternally imprinted in our minds and on our hearts. His fighting spirit will forever be an inspiration to us all.

He is survived by his loving parents, Kyle and Lindsey (Lato) Hargroder and big sister, Laurel, of St. Francisville, LA, grandparents Rory and Mary (Campagna) Lato and Steven and Melissa (Arnaud) Hargroder, great-grandmother Sammie Devillier Landry, aunts and uncles Genin and Kaci (Lato) Roy, Rory, Jr. and Nicole (Beach) Lato, and Luke and Katie (Hargroder) Petitto, and cousins, Blaise, Austin, and Kate Lato, Alexis and Foster Roy, and Camella, Rosalie, and Norwood Petitto. He is preceded in death by great-grandparents, George and Laura (Manno) Campagna, Johnny Lato, Roland and Sue (Barbay) Bercegeay, William Hargroder, Raymond and Billie (Franks) Bullock, and Verman Arnaud.

Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home on Sunday, January 9, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Monday, January 10, 2022, from 10:00 am until a mass of Christian Burial at Noon, celebrated by the Rev. Andrew Gutierrez. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. The pallbearer will be his daddy.

We are grateful for the outstanding care provided by the compassionate caregivers of the Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Ochsner Hospital for Children, specifically, the nurses, ECMO specialists, doctors, and child life specialists.
