Ida "Aline" Bridges Andrews

Ida “Aline” Bridges Andrews of Prairieville, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the age of 70, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 29, 1956, in Baton Rouge, LA, to Clive P. Sr. and Ida Mae Bridges.

Aline graduated from Woodlawn High School in Baton Rouge, LA. She retired as a dental technician, after working for Drs. Maginnis and Appleton for many years. Aline was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville, LA and was devoted to her faith.

Aline enjoyed many hobbies including gardening and spending time outside. She loved to cook and share meals with her family and is known for her amazing pot roast and chicken and dumplings. But her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends. Family meant everything to her.

Aline is survived by her children, Latisha Mire (Joey) and Oren Andrews III (Karen); siblings, Linda Carlton (Jackie), Clive Bridges Jr. (Debbie), Elmo Bridges, and sister-in-law Brenda Bridges; grandchildren, London Long (Aaron), Landen and Logan Fleming, and Emmaleigh Andrews; and great-grandchildren, Selah, Aden, and Tinsley Long.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Clive P. Sr. and Ida Mae Bridges; sister, Becky Varnado; and brother, Wayne Bridges.

The family would like to acknowledge Southern Grace Hospice for being so loving, soft, and caring. The family also extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Steven Gremillion, her cardiologist, for his exceptional care of her for more than two decades.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. with a Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge. Inurnment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
