Ida Lou Adams Moorhead, born on April 1, 1946, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the age of 80.

Lou was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi, and grew up in Weir, Mississippi. After graduating from high school, she married the love of her life, Glennis Wayne Moorhead, Sr. She worked as a bookkeeper over the years. Lou was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She always enjoyed church functions, computer games, phone time with her friends, and shopping with friends.

Lou is survived by her husband of 58 years, Glennis Wayne Moorhead, Sr.; daughter, Jessica Susanne Moorhead Tregre; son, Glennis Wayne “Sonny” Moorhead, Jr.; grandchildren, Grayson, McKenna, and Ellerie; her dear friend, Ann Wilson; and pastor, Lynne Rodrigue.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Ruby Adams; sister, Jean Mills; and brother, James Wesley Adams.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Lou’s life on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Resthaven Funeral Home. All will be welcomed at 9:00 AM until funeral services at 10:00 AM.
