“You are Great, O Lord God. For there is none like you, nor is there any God besides you.” 2 Samuel 7:22
Inez Lee Campanella, born March 1, 1930, in Central, Louisiana, passed away on September 14, 2026. She will be remembered with deep love as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was centered on caring for others and cherishing her family.
For 40 years, Inez served as an orthopedic nurse at Bone and Joint Clinic, giving steady and compassionate care through a career that reflected her strength, dedication, and kindness. Her life was also filled with the simple joys she loved most. She enjoyed reading, antique shopping, and traveling, but above all, she treasured time with her family. Being with her children, her four grandchildren, and her ten great-grandchildren brought her lasting happiness. In faith, she was first a member of St. George Catholic Church and later became a member of First New Testament Church.
Inez was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ed Campanella, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents, John B. and Elizabeth Lee; her son, Ed Campanella Jr.; her sisters, Nell Lee and Grace Lee; and her brothers, Clarence Lee, Clinton Lee, and Louis Lee.
She leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory forward with gratitude and affection: daughter, Lisa Campanella McCollister, and son-in-law, David McCollister; son, Rick Campanella; daughter-in-law, Nancy Campanella; sisters, Lois Weise and Doris Lee; grandchildren, Brian McCollister, Ashleigh Cormier, Matthew Campanella, and Michael Campanella; and her great-grandchildren, Lia, Bonnie, Reuben, Zoe, Gideon, Blake, Charlie, Eli, Reese, and Tyler.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Kenshintria Lockette and her team of sitters. They were the best!
