Irma Lee (Neal) Booth, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, Mimi, aunt, cousin, educator, church nursery worker, and friend to many people. She passed away at the age of 86 on September 8, 2022, in Baton Rouge, LA with her family by her side.

Irma Lee was born on September 28, 1935, in Baptist, LA, to Richard and Lizzie Neal. She was married to Melvin L. Booth, Jr. for 51 years. Irma Lee was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son Darrell Booth, granddaughter Jacquelyn Booth, siblings Iris, Erlo, Gayle, and other loved ones. Irma Lee is survived by son Harrell Booth (Donna), daughter Sharon Soileau (Creighton), daughter-in-law Dana Booth; grandchildren Melissa (Jeremy), Stephanie (Jeremy), Michelle, Brian, Patrick (Casey), Erin, and Connor; great-grandchildren Madison, Mallory, Brennan, Blake, Brody, Vivian, Wren, and Bennett; sister Charlene Redmond, nephews and nieces, cousins, and numerous other relatives.

Irma Lee retired in 1995 after 31 years of working in the Livingston Parish Public School System. She was a longtime member and nursery care worker at Parkview Baptist Church, Baton Rouge.

Irma Lee was confident in her faith and God’s plan for her life. Her loved ones have peace knowing that she is having a Heavenly reunion and celebration with those that preceded her in passing. Until we meet again…

Visitation will be held in the Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.  Visitation will resume at 9:30am until the service at 10:30am on Saturday, September 17, 2022, in the Resthaven Mausoleum. Burial will be at the Resthaven Garden of Prayer.
