A retired engineer with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, he died at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, at Hospice of Baton Rouge Inpatient Unit Butterfly Wing. He was 78, a resident of Maringouin and a native of Mansura. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Saturday, Dec. 29, from 12:30 p.m. until memorial service at 2:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Milford Walters. Private burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Allie McClure, of Zachary; a brother and sister-in-law, James L. and Dixie Moreau, of Baton Rouge; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Moore and Eunice Moreau; two brothers, Keith Moreau and Joe Moreau; two sisters, Jean Oliver and Janice Meyers; and a brother-in-law, Eddie Fairchild.
