Jack Stroughter

Jack D. Stroughter, age 84, a resident of Slaughter, LA, passed away on March 10, 2016.

He was a retired business owner and avid sports enthusiast. Jack loved baseball, golf and especially LSU Tiger sports. A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Janette; children, June & Jimmy Edwards, Judy & Bobby Morris, Linda & David Felter, David & Mandy Stroughter, John & Donna Boeta, Doug & Patricia Stroughter, and Toby & Cara Boeta. Also survived by brothers, Sammy, Wayne, and Danny; 19 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny & Mary Stroughter; brothers, Johnny & Gene Stroughter; and son, Bootsie.

Visiting hours will be observed on March 14, 2016 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Visiting hours will resume on March 15, 2016 from 10:00 AM until funeral services at 11:00 AM.

Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
