Jacqueline “Jackie” Naquin Duthu, 71, passed away on April 14, 2026. Born on August 19, 1954, in Houma, Louisiana, she was the beloved daughter of the late Royce and Gloria Naquin.
Jackie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose life was centered around her family. She is survived by her two sons, Dale Luke (Bree) and Kevin Duthu (Meghan). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Aiden, Connor, and Ethan Luke, who brought her immense joy and whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her brother, Jody Naquin, and niece, Sarah Naquin.
Jackie shared meaningful chapters of her life with Dale Luke Sr. and later with Mark Duthu, with whom she spent 42 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Royce and Gloria Naquin, and her brother, Barry Naquin.
Jackie was known for her unwavering support of her children, never missing a sporting event or band concert. Her presence in the stands and audience was a constant source of encouragement and love. She cherished her time spent in her hometown of Houma, especially at Fisherman’s Retreat, where she created lasting memories with family and friends. She also spent time living in Birmingham, where she formed several lasting friendships that she treasured deeply.
She welcomed every person with a warm smile and a hug, instantly making you feel like part of her family. To know her was to know unconditional love and true friendship.
A cancer survivor, Jackie showed incredible strength and resilience, facing life’s challenges with determination and grace She will be remembered for her love of family, her strength, and the countless ways she showed up for the people she loved. Her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 a.m.
