Jacqueline "Jackie" B. Washington

Jacqueline “Jackie” B. Washington passed away on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025, at the age of 85. She was born on December 19, 1939, in Cecilia, Louisiana, to Gussie and Hilma Sassau Baltazar. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Jackie was President, CEO, and CFO of Leroy and Son Trucking.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Leroy Washington, Sr.; daughters, Cynthia Anderson (Rodney), Clarissa Acklin (Derleo), Evette Spears (Kenneth, Sr.), and Valencia Thompson (Patrick); and son, Leroy Washington Jr. (Rysanek); 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters; and 1 brother.

A Mass of Chrisitan burial will be held on Saturday, May 31st at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church starting at 12:00PM. Visitation will begin at 10:00AM. Burial will follow the service at St. George Catholic Church Cemetery.
