James Allen

James “Jimmy” Otis Allen, 78, a native of Waynesboro, Mississippi, and a resident of St. Gabriel passed away on Friday, October 22. We have no doubt that our Lord and his loving wife welcomed him home.   He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to everyone whose life he touched.  Jimmy worked in the oil and gas industry for much of his young life and finished his career at BREC.   He also served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a member of Dutchtown Baptist Church.  Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. on Tuesday, October 26, from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. with services immediately following and officiated by Pastor Leigh Rogers.  Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Monica Holley and granddaughter Amanda Holley.  He is also survived by his sister, Sue Lee, his brother, William Allen, sisters-in-law, Jennifer St. Romain, Vernette LeJune (special niece Brandy LeJenue) and many other nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his dearest friend, Prentiss Parker.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis St. Romain Allen and his parents William and Carolina Allen and his brother George L. Allen.
