James E. Jim Hodges

A retired salesman and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 5 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at his home. He was 84, a U.S. Marine Corps and Army veteran and a native of Dubberly. Funeral services will be private. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sandra S. Hodges; six sons, James Dalton, Terry Lynn, Stephen Brent, Joel Lloyd, Forest Andrew, Shannon Gable and their families; a sister, Janette Hayden; a brother, Charles Alfred; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Lola Hodges; and a brother, Dalton Hodges. Thanks to St. Joseph Hospice and a special thanks to Stacey, Jenny, Diane and Sheila.
