Jason Craig Gautreau

Jason Craig Gautreau, age 61, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026. He was born on December 4, 1964, in Baton Rouge, where he spent his life building lasting friendships and a reputation as a hardworking contractor.

Jason was a man who loved the outdoors and found great joy on the golf course or on the water fishing. He appreciated life's simple pleasures and treasured the time he spent with family and friends. Known for his kind heart, and easygoing personality, Jason made a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Above all, Jason loved his family. He is survived by his beloved son, Austin Gautreau; his cherished granddaughter, Lyla Grieff; his cherished grandson, Miles Gautreau; and his parents, John and Barbara Gautreau; his siblings, John Gautreau (Debra), Nikki Attuso (Johnny), Chad Gautreau (Sherry), and Curt Gautreau (Kim). He also leaves behind many dear friends and acquaintances whose lives were enriched by his friendship and kindness.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dwyer Broussard, Terry Ellis, Dr. Barker, and the compassionate staff of Clarity Hospice for the exceptional care, support, and kindness shown to Jason during his final days.

We would like to invite all who knew and loved Jason to join us as we commemorate his life. A Visitation will be held at Resthaven, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, in Baton Rouge, on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 1:30 PM until Memorial service at 2:30 PM, with a Graveside service to follow.

Jason will be remembered for his passion for the outdoors, his strong work ethic, and the many memories he created with those he loved. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

May he rest in eternal peace.
