Jeffery "Brent" Dodge

Jeffery “Brent” Dodge, passed away on December 15, 2023, at the age of 66. He was an exceptional man who touched the lives of many, and his memory will forever be cherished. Born on August 18, 1957, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Brent was the beloved son of Dale and Claudette Dodge.

Graduating from LSU with a bachelor's degree in accounting, Brent was a dedicated and hardworking individual. He excelled in his role at Turner Industries, demonstrating a strong work ethic and attention to detail that made him an invaluable asset, and role model, to the company and colleagues.

Brent had a wide range of hobbies and interests that kept him active throughout his life. He enjoyed playing golf and basketball, finding solace in the competition and camaraderie these sports brought. He also found delight in throwing the ball with his loyal companion, Winston.

Brent had a heart full of love that extended not only to his family, but also to everyone who crossed his path. He embraced the role of "Gampa" with great joy and adored spoiling his precious girls at every opportunity. Spending time with friends and family was a source of immense happiness for Brent, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Brent is survived by his beloved daughter, Amy Dodge; granddaughter, Savannah Armenta, and grandson-in-law, Jaysin Armenta; sisters, Karen Green and Deena Rabalais; brother, Greg Dodge; sister-in-law, Evie Dodge; brother-in-law, Greg Green; Amy’s mother, Lisa Dodge; nieces and nephews, Bethany King, Stephen Green, Brittany Champagne, Taylor Dodge, Wesley Green, Kimberly Phillips, and Kelly Phillips.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Claudette Dodge; his brother-in-law, Todd Rabalais; and nephew, Robert Phillips.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Brent’s Turner Industries work family, for always being there for Brent, even after he retired. He always spoke about how much they meant to him.

Services for Jeffery “Brent” Dodge will be held on December 23, 2023, at Resthaven Funeral Home, located at 11817 Jefferson Hwy in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 AM.
