Jeffery Paul Luquette

We celebrate and mourn the tragic sudden passing of Jeffery Paul Luquette, age 59, in Ascension Parish on September 6, 2025. Since young adulthood, he worked daily to improve himself and had reached a pinnacle in life he never thought possible.

He was born in Lutcher Louisiana in 1965 and attended Lutcher High School. Jeff resided in Saint Amant, Louisiana. He enjoyed working in Industrial trade areas and was employed with Turner Industries. Jeff loved spending time with family and friends, filling up stomachs with good food and making others laugh.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife, his Queen, Julie Lea Luquette; his adoring mother, Kathryn Luquette; his beloved father, Carlton Luquette and his wife, Wanda Luquette; sister, Veronica Molley; and brother, Keith Luquette; Veronica’s husband, David Molley and their sons, Jeremy and Jonathan Molley; Jeremy’s wife, Renee Molley and their children, William and Charlie; Keith’s wife Jamie Luquette; as well as numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Ference Luquette, Inez Luquette, AP Veron, Rita Veron, Sandra “Boope” Derks; Jeff’s first wife, Sherry Luquette; and nephew Jonathan’s wife, Haley Molley.

Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, beginning at 9:00 AM until a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to St Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis Tennessee.

Finally, remember him as a Prince of a Man, a name given to him by his mother-in-law Ruby Lea, who was a discerning character.
