Jennifer B. Gauthier passed away on December 15, 2016 after a long battle with cancer.

She was born June 17, 1969 in Baton Rouge and she was a parishioner at Most Blessed Sacrament Church. She was a member of National Charity League and a founding member of MBS Youth Group. She attended Lee High and Northwestern University.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Corey M. Gauthier; her two children, Claire McKay and Connor Mitchell; her sister, Sandra and husband Ahmed Rahman; her brother, Patrick Bates; her sister, Linda McKeehen; her brother, John Sledge; her sister-in-laws, Cheri and husband Jim Price and Chrissy and husband Buddy Bond; her mother-in-law, Darlene Gauthier; her nieces, Maya Fritz, Kayleigh Price, Caroline Price and Kira Fritz; her nephews, Fuad Alexander, Nicholas Price, Reece LeBlanc and Nolan Fritz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley Hagler McCaleb and J. Donald Bates; and her father-in-law, Carol M. Gauthier, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 19 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, December 20 from 9:30am until 11:00am at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 15615 Jefferson Highway, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial conducted by Father Phil Spano. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
