Jerry Tessier

On Jan 17, 2023 at 10:50 a.m., Jerry Jennings Tessier left his earthly home in Greenwell Springs, La. for a more desirable home with pearl entrance gates and streets of gold.

Preceding his relocation were his beloved wife of 60 years, Nora Ellen Ryland Tessier; his father, David Mann Tessier; mother, Shelly Gunnells Tessier; siblings, Patsy Lyda and David Mann Tessier.

He is survived his siblings, Beverly Ann Voorhes, Barbara Lee Johnston, Camille Ewing, Cecil Tessier; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jerry was born in Lettsworth, Louisiana on December 30, 1933 and eventually moved to Greenwell Springs, LA. He was a proud Army Veteran and long-time member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. He loved to garden and sit on his deck to feed the birds and squirrels and his beautiful tomatoes were always a hit with his family and friends. He was a loving husband and brother, a wonderful uncle, an unforgettable cousin, a memorable friend, and a gracious neighbor.

Services will be at Resthaven Funeral Home on Monday Jan 23, 2023, at 11:00 am with visitation from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory
