J.T. Isom

Jessie Tom Isom, known as J.T., passed away on June 14, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on August 2, 1934, in Bokoshe Oklahoma, he was the beloved son of Tom Isom and Ocie Cook.

Mr. Isom led a remarkable life as a Chemist and a proud College Graduate of Northeastern State University and Postgraduate at Wichita State University. His dedication to his work was evident in all aspects of his career. Beyond his professional achievements, Jessie was an active member of Most Blessed Catholic Church, as he was a devoted member of their Men's Club and the Knights of Columbus. His commitment to his faith and community was unwavering.

He will be deeply missed by his surviving family members including his daughters, Cheryl Hiebert (Garry) and Lori Goff (Darrell); sons, Hurley Norrick (Debra), Edward Norrick (Linda), Randall Norrick (Joan), and Lawrence Norrick (Roxann); brother, Vernon Isom; grandsons, Jeremy Norrick, Justin Norrick, Derek Norrick, Justin Cravens, Curtis Norrick, Garrett Hiebert, Benjamin Goff, and Jacob Goff; granddaughters, Jill Norrick, Marissa Norrick, Andrea Williams, Alicia Ladner, Elizabeth Miller, Teryn Norrick, and Jessica Cognevich; as well as 22 great-grandchildren. 

J.T. is preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years Patricia Ann Watchous Norrick Isom; parents, Tom and Ocie Isom; sisters, Marie Bailey and Obalee "Shirley" Sebo; and brother, Merle Isom.

A visitation followed by a prayer service will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Thursday, June 20, 2024, beginning at 5:00 PM. The prayer service will commence at 8:00 PM.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church beginning at 10:30 AM. Procession and burial will follow the service in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
