Jewel Hunt

A resident of Baton Rouge, she died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at 4:30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was 90 and a native of Bayou Barbary. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home chapel, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Wednesday, Nov. 26, from 11 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Mike Ferguson. Entombment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jerrie Jewel and Bobby Willie; son and daughter-in-law, Alex J. and Sybil Aucoin Hunt; sister, Dorothy Schexnayder; five grandchildren, Jeff Willie, Connie Willie Wareham, Randall Hunt, Brian Hunt and Dina Hunt Smith; and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Hunt. She was a member of Lanier Baptist Church.
