Joann Cassano Landry passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at the age of 77. She was born on July 27, 1948, in Baton Rouge to Fred and Doris Cassano.
Joann graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy and went on to study at the University of Southwestern Louisiana. She dedicated more than 20 years of service to the Louisiana Department of Transportation before following her passion for helping others by starting her own business, where she lovingly cared for the needs of elderly and disabled clients.
Joann had a deep love for cooking and found great joy in sharing meals with family and friends. She enjoyed puzzles and playing dominoes, and she took pride in her collections of clocks, porcelain birds, and anything related to redbirds. She had an eye for beauty in nature and especially loved flowers. Above all, Joann was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who cherished time spent with those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Doris Cassano; and her brother, Wayne Cassano.
Joann is survived by Earl Landry; their children, Graham Landry (Paige) and Taylor Landry (Alicia); her sisters, Dianna Domingue and Sherri Hill (Ricky); and her beloved grandchildren, Gracen Landry, Sophie Landry, Aliza Landry, and Luke Landry.
