Jodi Hamilton Cleveland

September 16, 1965 — May 11, 2023

Baton Rouge

Jodi Hamilton Cleveland was called Home to be with Jesus on Thursday, May 11, 2023.  She was 57 years old.  Jodi was born September 16, 1965, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Joroy and Elizabeth Hamilton.

Jodi loved listening to rock music, especially anything her son, Hart, played.  She found solace in reading – relishing the time she spent discussing books, movies and television shows with her daughter, Hannah.  Jodi’s passion was cooking, she would often tell people that food was her ‘love language’.  She had a fierce love of dogs and enjoyed spending time on her back patio with her pointer mix, Cricket.  Jodi’s favorite place on earth was the beach.

She was a member of Graceworks Church and was a longtime friend of Pastor Bill Pruitt.  Jodi owned and operated her own cleaning and home organizing business.

She was preceded in death by her father and her sister, Paulette Hamilton.  Jodi is survived by her loving children Hart Cleveland and Hannah Cleveland Populus and husband, Aaron; her mother; and her sister, Bridget Hamilton Craig.  She is also survived by her beloved grandchild, Parker Populus; nephews, Hayden and Holden Robert and Gavin and Hudson Craig; as well numerous other family and friends.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Steven Kelley and Dr. Gary Field, who took care of her with love, kindness, and patience for so many years.

Private services were held for the family on Thursday, May 18, 2023.  Interment followed at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Baker, where she was laid to rest alongside her father and sister.
