John Raymond Hollowell

John Hollowell, a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away on December 22, 2024, at the age of 79. He was at home with hospice care and was surrounded by family.

John was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on May 17, 1945, to Lucious and Geraldine Hollowell. He married Dianne Larcade Hollowell on August 7, 1971, and they had three children. He worked in industrial sales until his retirement, but his children know he was a fixer upper with cars and home repairs.

John is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dianne Hollowell; sons, Paul Hollowell (Christa) and Michael Hollowell; daughter, Leslie Lovett (Garry); grandchildren, Casey Lovett and Corey Lovett, and Kate Hollowell; brother, Thomas Hollowell; and sister, June Kinsey.

He is preceded in death by his parents and infant sister.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church, 16166 S. Harrell's Ferry Road in Baton Rouge, on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge.
