Jonathan "JW Temple

Jonathan “JW” Temple, born on October 8, 1932, passed away on May 10, 2025, at the age of 92.

JW was born in Gloster, Mississippi. He spent two years in the United States Army. He went on to become an electrician until his retirement from American Electric. JW was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and Local 995 for 65 years.

JW is survived by his daughter, Marilyn Hines; sisters, Annette Zachary, Imogene Orillion, and Cathy Hasse; granddaughter, Melanie Kelley (Sam); great-grandchildren, Halle and Katie; and friend, Bobbye McInnis.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Lela Musson Temple; parents, Felder W. and Helen Day Temple; and sister, Joann Temple Walker.

Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, beginning at 9:00 AM until services at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
