Jordan Elizabeth Lancaster went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 15, 2025, at the age of 28. She was born March 14, 1997, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Jordan was a bright active child that loved people, especially her brother Brandon. She was a diligent homeschooled student, who also played basketball and softball. She worked very hard and was able to take college classes through dual enrollment in high school. After graduation, Jordan attended Louisiana Tech University where she earned an Associate Degree in Nursing. She went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University while working full-time at the hospital.
Jordan began her career in June of 2018, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in their medical-surgical unit, Surg 1, where she was soon promoted to charge nurse and later supervisor. Jordan had great compassion for the patients under her care and enjoyed interacting with them. Jordan was reliable and always willing to take on additional shifts. Recently, she accepted a position at Elayn Hunt Correctional Center but maintained the opportunity to work as needed (PRN) at the hospital. Though she was only at Hunt for a short time her concern for the patients there was evident to all.
Jordan is survived by her devoted grandparents who raised her like their own, George and Darlene McCullough; her beloved son, Liam Micah Allen and his father, Joshua Allen; her mother, Heather Lancaster; her father, Wade Bercegeay and wife, Michelle; her brothers, Brandon Lancaster and wife Ciara, Cameron Lecompte, Britton Bercegeay, and Austin Bercegeay; as well as numerous other loving family and friends. She leaves behind several cherished pets.
When she wasn’t working, Jordan could be found spending time with friends and family. She loved to watch movies, attend concerts, and go to birthday parties or showers to celebrate friends. She enjoyed many vacations with her mother and brother, Cameron, but her favorite destination was the beaches of Hawaii. After Liam was born, she delighted in taking him to fun places, playing monster trucks, or just splashing in the pool at home.
Jordan was kind, thoughtful, generous, and found wonder in all the little things in life. She was an amazing mother, who wanted the best for her son. She put others before herself and derived so much joy from making people feel special. Her loss is great, but we know we will see her again.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 12:30 p.m. A Burial Service will follow in the Chapel of Eternal Faith at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to https://www.givesendgo.com/LiamAllenEducation?tm_source=sharelink&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=LiamAllenEducation where an educational trust has been established for her son, Liam Micah Allen.
