Raymond Beatty

Raymond Beatty, a native of Baton Rouge, LA and a resident of Prairieville, LA, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at the age of 77. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from LSU. He was a member of Delta Sigma Pi, Pi Kappa Phi, and Pershing Rifles. He served in the United States Air Force from March 1964 to March 1970. He enjoyed making memories with his grandchildren and attending LSU sporting events.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Paulette Jewell Beatty; and parents, Roy and Margie Beatty.

He is survived by his children, Geoffrey Raymond Beatty and his wife Abby, and Cynthia Beatty Vavasseur and husband Garet; grandchildren, Christian Joseph Vavasseur, Nicholas Raymond Beatty, Avery Allyson Vavasseur, Joshua Andrew Beatty, and Gabriel Paul Vavasseur; sister, Cynthia Diane Wynne and husband Barry; and brother, Roy Norbert Beatty, Jr. and wife Stacy.

Visitation will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville, LA on Friday, November 24, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
