A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of East Hampton, N.Y., he died Monday, June 23, 2008, at the Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jackson. He was 84 and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home on Thursday, June 26, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a rosary at 8 p.m. Visiting at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on Friday, June 27, from 8 a.m. until religious service at 9 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Jerry Martin. Additional visitation at McKneely and Sons Funeral Home, Hammond, on Friday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Burial in Rose Memorial Park, Hammond. Survived by a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Cangiolosi; a son, Joseph L. Cangiolosi III and wife Cindy; two grandchildren, Joseph Joel Cangiolosi IV and Charles David and wife Apryl Cangiolosi; and a great-grandchild, Camryn Cangiolosi. Preceded in death by his wife, Annie Galaforo Cangiolosi; and parents, Joseph and Rose Cangiolosi. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 4030, St. Patrick's American Legion and American Legion Honor Guard.
