A retired truck driver for East Baton Rouge Parish and a resident of Baker, he died at 6:15 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2009, in Baker. He was 78 and a native of Gonzales. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Monday, June 1, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting continues at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 2, from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Don Hoy. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife, Ella Mae Taylor Lambert; a daughter, Ann Martin and husband Doug, of Melville; three sons, David Harris, Joe Lambert and wife Debbie, of Ethel, and Wayne Lambert and wife Elodia, of Houston; a sister, Agnes Senthen and husband Louis, of Baker; seven grandchildren, Jamie, Shaun, Bridget, Tabatha, Jessie, Ryan and Todd; and six great-grandchildren, Morgan, Gage, Kadence, Christian, Madison and Kate.
